Boy do I just crave ramen sometimes. I am not a noodle person. I have no idea why I have this crazy noodle soup craving. Maybe it’s the cooler weather or the shorter days. Maybe it’s the cold I can’t kick. But all I want is a big, brothy bowl of Roasted Pumpkin Ramen.

Ekkk. I know. This is very bittersweet for me. So many mixed feelings.

Let’s talk about the salad first, mmmkay?

I kind of wanted to call this Spring Bikini Salad because that’s mah goal. Beach volleyball will be here before we know it. And even if we don’t actually play, we wanna look good in our short shorts sipping on beachtinis. Am I right?

These were originally named Chewy Pumpkin Cherry Breakfast Bars, but my roommate really wanted to name them Sunny Chewies, so we compromised with Sunny Pumpkin Cherry Bars. Sunny Chewies is less of a mouthful, so if you want to call them Sunny Chewies, that’s fine by me.

The thing is – when you’re naming a recipe that you created, you want to make sure the title relays all the goodstuffs in there. In this case, that includes:

It’s comfort food time of year, people. And yet, I’m typing this up on a Monday morning with a large mug of herbal tea and a cold-pressed green juice that tastes like celery and cucumbers – two foods I’m not super fond of – but the point is, while my body really needs all the hydration and vitamin A it can get (120% in my green juice!), I’m just having all the feelings for soups and casseroles and banana bread right now.

You friends DO NOT want to see the failure that tried to be Slow-Cooker Banana Bread yesterday. It’s rubbery and just, BLEH. Slow cookers are magical for certain menu items, but bread is not one of them. Let’s leave it at that.

Do we find it a little funny that the single girl is yet again writing about Valentine’s Day? Like I have a clue! My blog is named My Bottomless Ex-Boyfriend …and I’ve been contemplating adding a letter ‘s’ at the end. No– seriously contemplating that. Like… thinking up a whole blog scheme– The girl who cooks a lot and goes on dates a lot and writes about all her kitchen and dating exploits equally.

I mean, if you heard some of the stories… you might be interested.

Oh hello, blog. It’s me, Danielle. I’m here for now… Just MOVING to Chicago in T minus 2 days.

And I have a lot to do in these next two days, one of them being to DETOX. Yes. How many Christmas parties and goodbye dinners and wine nights and holiday bar crawls and gift exchanges and annual get-togethers can a girl fit into four weeks?

Can I choose a favorite month of 2015 NOW, or do I have to wait until the last day of December?

What the heck. I’m gonna choose one now and I choose November. I’m 1% hesitant because December is starting to look promising and also because February was a pretty darn good month too. So yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and choose November.
