Okay blog friends – prepare for an influx of recipes! I’ve had two free days this week to get busy in the kitchen and so I’ve got weeks of recipes lined up! And I have a lot of food in my refrigerator. But I’ve got some hungry friends coming over tonight to help with that.

SO MUCH FALL FOOD. First of all, we’ve got Game Day snacks. We are covering that today. These sliders and this caramel corn are also great Game Day treats.

The Best Tailgate Sliders

Honestly though. A tailgate slider doesn’t need to be this fancy. You could very easily make the meat patties, melt some cheese on top, throw it on a little bun, and just add ketchup.

That’s how I ate the thing on Saturday and it was about the most fantastic slider I’ve ever tasted. I mean, heavenly. Like, I closed my eyes and lifted by face toward the heavens and smiled as tears of joyful food love ran down my face.

I know some of you guys are waiting to hear what I made Chipotle Mayo for, but… Ermagherrrd. It can wait. I need to share my love for burrata cheese with the entire online world.

I mean, tomato season is on its way out the door. Don’t shoot the messenger. Just tellin’ it like it is. This is my absolute favorite way to eat tomatoes. I know I said the same thing last week. I wasn’t lying. Tomato & Goat Cheese Tart is crazy delicious. But its totally allowable to have a two-way tie, or an eight-way, or even a 17-way tie in the food world. I would say it’s encouraged even.

I swear I’m going to write about tomatoes, but all I really want to do is talk about Miller.

And how every time I get an email from a potential owner, my heart stops dead. Wee little Miller, who weighed 2.93 pounds at the vet’s office. Tiny, bouncy Miller, the snuggle partner. Her only fault is that she is so small, I might roll over and crush her one day. She had her first public outing yesterday. I found out that she is a people-person. I might have to use this to my advantage…

Yesterday was Therapy Day.

Therapy Day usually includes a full eight hours of sleep, a cup of coffee on the porch, sometimes a homemade breakfast. (Mine did.) It can include lounging on a pool float and getting slightly crispy with some friends. (Mine did.) It may include evening drinks with the girls or with the guys or with the neighbors. (Mine did.)

And Therapy Day, for me, always includes baking.

There’s one thing to love about Mondays.

Mondays are a fresh start. An opportunity to reinvent yourself. A day for redesigning your outlook on life. You have the choice of waking up on the wrong side of the bed or the right side of the bed and that can set the tone for your entire week.

Really, we can do this on any day, but Monday is a natural day of renewal. Almost every Sunday, I make some promise to myself for the coming week: I will go to the gym regularly. I will be absolutely productive at work and leave on time. I will drink ten glasses of water per day. I will take “me” time, without feeling guilty.

I’m republishing this almost one year to the day! Should I wait another three days to republish, so that my perfectionism can sing its heart out with the fortuitous bliss that is 365 days by accident? Nope. I want to share this with you NOW! Peach season is upon us and I can’t think of anything else I would rather make with my Farmer’s-Market-Fresh Peaches. Not even cake or cobbler or pie. Just this salad, which is healthy and indulgent both at once, and which is my favorite kind of food.

Why am I republishing? Because of this:

Ready for the easiest recipe ever?

Those words are like sweet music to my ears these days.

This super-simple recipe can be an appetizer, a snack, or an ingredient. In fact, if you stay tuned for my next blog post, you’ll see me use Jalapeño-Lemon Feta in a summer veggie salad side dish something.

I owe you, my blog friends, an apology. I feel like I’ve neglected the Internetsphere lately. I’m at least posting once a week, but they’ve been short and maybe a bit impersonal.
