White Chocolate Peanut Butter Muddy Buddy Snack Mix is a mouthful to say, but it totally rings true because you are going to take so many mouthfuls. This recipe is as addictive as it is beautiful and will add a bright pop of color to your kitchen countertop.

There are so many heavenly things about this snack mix that needed to fit in the title so you would  realize just how craveable this is. What I really want to name it is: Springtime White Chocolate Peanut Butter Muddy Buddies with Peanut AND Peanut Butter M&M’s and Pretzels. But I think there’s a character limit on blog post titles…?

This snack baby was born out of an Easter candy fetish. Easter candy is by far THE BEST holiday candy of the year. There’s so much to choose from! It’s chocolate-lovers heaven! I wish I still got an Easter basket. Mom, will you consider gifting me an Easter basket this year? I’ll do my best to make it home for the holidays regardless, but I can almost guarantee my presence if I’m promised an Easter basket.

Danielle’s Top 3 Favorite Easter Candies:

  1. Peanut Butter M&M’s Speckled Eggs – better than regular PB M&M’s because — BIGGER
  2. Reese’s Piece’s Easter Eggs + Cadbury White Chocolate Eggs (Eat one of each at the same time. Happy taste buds!)
  3. Reese’s White Chocolate Eggs

Can you tell I’m a fan of the white chocolate-peanut butter combo? And also of little bite-sized pieces with a crispy outer shell that I can just pop in my mouth?

And so this Muddy Buddy Snack Mix was an obvious invention.

Although, I must give a special shout out to my friend Emily who made something very similar (maybe exactly) the same a few months ago. Does that mean I ripped this recipe off? Well, we both ripped of the Chex Muddy Buddy recipe anyway, so does it really matter?

Sweet + salty. White chocolate + peanut butter (+ milk chocolate). Crunchy + creamy + crispy. Grab a handful and then another. And another. Because once you start, you won’t be able to stop. Promise! I know from experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 9 cups Chex™ cereal
  • 3 cups bite-sized pretzels
  • 1 bag M&M's peanut or peanut butter or a combination

Instructions

  1. Melt white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter over low heat. Add vanilla and stir until smooth.
  2. Add cereal* and mix gently until coated. Then add powdered sugar and mix gently until evenly coated.
  3. Lay cereal out on wax paper to cool and harden.
  4. Toss with pretzels and M&M's when ready to serve.

Recipe Notes

*I coated the cereal, pretzels, and M&M's in the white chocolate and peanut butter mixture. This is okay, but it won't be as pretty because everything will be white. This snack will taste delicious either way!
