8 Kitchen Gifts for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Do you have an Amazon Prime account? #obsessed

Amazon Prime is for all the last-minute people like me who wait until the day before Mother’s Day to even realize that tomorrow is Mother’s Day and then scramble for a gift while the stores are all crowded and sold out and then they are closing early because it’s Saturday and you should’ve asked your father for some gift ideas because you just have no clue.

If you don’t have Amazon Prime — I am here to kick your butt into gear. Here are some gift ideas. Mother’s Day is MAY 10. Now get to work!

(Please know that I am an affiliate for these products. That means, if you make a purchase through one of the following links, I will receive a commission. However, these opinions are all my own. I personally own and recommend these products or they are items that I REALLY, REALLY want for my own kitchen. Even though I’m not a mother, someone please buy me thingsssss. OK thanks.)

1. Bamboo Cheese Board Set

Because every woman (and man and child) likes cheese. And if your mom likes to entertain, this is the perfect cheese board, complete with a fancy cracker-border and a secret drawer for those cheese tools. Also a good housewarming, wedding, or Danielle-You’re-The-Best gift.

2. Salad Spinner

Spring is here! I used to think salad spinners were silly — until I used one. My mother grows lettuce some years and it really is the best way to wash your lettuce and then to dry it quickly. I gotta say, I was AH-MAZ-ED the first time I used one. This large salad spinner is great for families, but if your mom is an empty-nester, a small one will get the job done.

3. Wine Decanter

Isn’t she beautiful? Every wine enthusiast should have a decanter. Actually, I take that back. Even if your mom is not enthusiastic about wine, she should have a decanter. She can… use it as a vase… or a centerpiece. She can pour her $5 bottle of wine in there when she has friends over and they will think she splurged on them. (Shhh… it’s our little secret.)

4. Shake and Infuse Pitcher

If your mom drinks three to four liters of water per day like my mom does, show her how to shake it up a bit. Plain water is so out and flavored water is so in. Strawberry-Lime. Lemon-Mint. Grapefruit-Rosemary. This pitcher makes it easy!

5. Pie Shield

Have you ever made a pie and halfway through the baking time the crust started browning and then two-thirds through the baking time the crust started blacking and you just sort of let it happen because it’s such a pain in your side to try to cover that crust with tinfoil because you’re inevitably going to burn yourself trying to get the tinfoil to stay on and then when you peek in the oven you discover that it has fallen off despite all your hard work and frustration and blistered hands and the crust is burnt anyway. This, friends, is the answer to all those troubles. A pie shield. If your mom bakes, she wants one.

6. Adjustable Rolling Pin

For all those times I roll out crust (which is not often, as you’ve recently discovered). But, when I do, I use one of these babies. It takes all the guesswork out of, “Is my crust even? Is it too thin? …or too thick?!” I promise, any baking mom will love this gift.

7. Cookbook: Inspiralized

I am actually getting this one for my mom this year. She got a Spiralizer® for Christmas, so she is all set to go. I’ve seen lots of blog posts using recipes from Inspiralized and I can’t wait to have Mom make some for me herself.

8. Cookbook: Sheet Pan Suppers

If I weren’t getting Mom Inspiralized, I would be getting her Sheet Pan Suppers. I came across this cookbook while looking for healthy one-dish dinner recipes. I’m a huge fan of roasting vegetables – it’s SO EASY – but I’ve never though to throw my protein on the baking sheet too. What a no-brainer! This cookbook is a must-have for moms who are strapped for time, but still want to keep their family eating well.
