About Me

Welcome to my corner of the Internet. I’m so happy you’ve stopped by! I’m Danielle, the girl behind the blog. The cook, the baker, the writer, and the picture-taker.

Danielle Cushing - Blogger at www.mybottomlessboyfriend.com
Oh, and the eater too!

I started The Every Kitchen in 2014 under a different name, intending to share healthy recipes and fooducate my online pals. I’m a dietitian, after all! But it didn’t take me long to discover that all I really want to do is make and talk about #allthefood, all the time.ย

My promise to you is that everything you see on The Every Kitchen is something you can make too. I work out of my studio apartment and I take pictures on my back porch, no special equipment required. (That bottom picture? It’s from my 9-to-5 gig and guess what? The lighting on my porch is better!)

If I can make the recipes on my blog look–and taste–good, anyone in every kitchen certainly can too.ย

A list of things I enjoy other than a lot of clean counter space: sunshine, early mornings, large mugs of coffee, fresh sheets, running, sailing, and goblets of wine.

I live in a tiny apartment in Lincoln Park, Chicago, with my chihuahua, my cat, and my bicycle.

The secret to my recipe for Guinness Chocolate Cake with Bailey's Buttercream is to reduce the stout first to give you a deeply malted and moist crumb. Hey Danielle!
Someone told me about your blog this past weekend at a wedding, and I have loved reading it! Where dietitian and desserts come together, genius! I love the idea of a recipe jar ( I might have to steal that idea). I too have recently started a recipe blog (www.wheretheresameal.com) as I’m the picky eater in the family, if you get a minute check it out, hopefully I’ve got some recipes that the”BBF” will approve!:)

Hey Keleigh! I’ve heard a lot about your blog from probably the same people that told you about mine! Congrats on the Rachel Ray competition — how awesome! Recipe jar is good in theory and will be helpful when my brain won’t work, but I’ve been specifically choosing recipes with seasonal ingredients — you kind of have to during this time of year. I thought I had emailed you a few weeks back, but I’d thought about it so many times, I can’t remember now if I did or not. Anyway, my BBF knows your husband — both Campbell alum golf pros!

    Hello Danielle,

    I hope you are well.

I work as a freelance journalist and at the moment I am working on Good Homes magazine’s October issue. Would we be able to use one of your pumpkin hummus images as a Halloween recipe and in return we can credit it to your website? I would need a hi res image.

    Thank you,
    Jessica
