The secret to my recipe for Guinness Chocolate Cake with Bailey’s Buttercream is to reduce the stout first to give you a deeply malted and moist crumb. The frosting adds just enough excitement without stealing the show and the end result is a cake you can’t resist eating… even for breakfast!…
Roasted Cherry, Whipped Goat Cheese, and Thyme Hors d’Oeuvres

I was not compensated for my time.
I can’t decide if this is an appetizer or a dessert. I also can’t decide which summer party to bring these too. And I super can’t decide whether or not to tell you the truth about how many of them I ate. (Hint: Pretty darn close to all of them.)
Skillet Lamb with Mango-Mint Chimichurri and Spring Peas
Arguably the best recipe on my blog, Skillet Lamb with Mango-Mint Chimichurri pairs deep and gamey flavors with bright, spring ingredients. Add crisp peas, soft lima beans, and perfectly fork-tender potatoes and you have a beautiful, colorful, out-of-this world dinner.
Red Onion Steak with Sweet Potatoes
Okay people. I’m watching This is Us. (Actually, my roommates are watching This is Us and I’m blogging and picking up all the ooey-gooey parts of the episode). It must be a Valentine’s Day episode. Everyone is falling in love and doing romantical gestures and saying the I Love You’s like the phrase is gonna stop existing! Whatever you do, do NOT let your Significant Other watch this episode. You will be expected to get down on one knee and propose marriage or propose renewal of vows or propose something just as grandiose when all you really really wanna do is propose making Red Onion Steak with Sweet Potatoes together.
Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Pancakes
It’s after midnight and I’m wondering why I haven’t been able to fall asleep yet when I decide to get up and put my brain to good use. I often do my
best strangest creative work when I’m suffering from insomnia. I put the kettle on for a cup of tea and all of a sudden I notice… it says right there on the package… the tea I’ve been binge-drinking all day is caffeinated. But I can’t eat breakfast without tea, so I’m drinking another caffeinated cup and noshing on Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Pancakes.
Braised Tuscan Pork Chops with Pan-Fried String Beans
Hellooooo friends. And happy February. Happy Month of Looorrrvvveee. Do not roll your eyes at me. Do not slip me the middle finger. And don’t stick out your tongue. The Month of Looorrrvvveee is for everyone. Love yo’self. Love yo’ dog. And yo’ cat. Love your gal pals and your bros and your parents! And siblings, I suppose.
And maybe, most importantly, love Braised Tuscan Pork Chops with Pan-Fried String Beans.
Mussels in Red Coconut Curry and Thailand Part III – Bangkok
↑↑↑ ♥♥♥ Wish I had emojis right now because I don’t think I have words for Mussels in Red Coconut Curry. Can we please hold hands, sit back together, and drool over this dish?
This has been in the making since December of 2014. Really, folks. I made Chilled Mango Red Curry Soup with Shrimp more than two years ago and I quote:
Pomegranate Balsamic Mahi Mahi
Do we find it a little funny that the single girl is yet again writing about Valentine’s Day? Like I have a clue! My blog is named My Bottomless Ex-Boyfriend …and I’ve been contemplating adding a letter ‘s’ at the end. No– seriously contemplating that. Like… thinking up a whole blog scheme– The girl who cooks a lot and goes on dates a lot and writes about all her kitchen and dating exploits equally.
I mean, if you heard some of the stories… you might be interested.
